Subject	ya, you should remove the IAC connector when adjusting idle.

Message	Otherwise the IAC will mask the adjustment you are making. Also make sure your car is fully warmed up, A/C off, and all auxilliary devices off. And as far as the clip, just get a tiny screwdriver and pull the C-clip which keeps the connector on.
